This project is the design of a small scale grocery store, with an in-store café, to be located in the Newport, RI area. With the grocery store being located in downtown Newport, the interior of the space was designed with heavy nautical influence. To keep with the coastal feel of the surrounding area, the interior of Gillian’s Grocery features a neutral blue color scheme to represent both the land and the sea, as well as curved drop ceilings to signify the movement of the water.
